Miss America 2019 – Show Me Your Shoes Parade

The iconic and historical, Miss America Show Me Your Shoes parade took place earlier today. 51 young women from across the country, who are vying for the title of Miss America 2019, drove down the Atlantic City Boardwalk, as part of this longstanding tradition. The parade is always held the day before the pageant, and allows for the women to show off their shoes, which represent themselves, their home-state, or anything else which is important to them. There truly was an eclectic variety of shoes, which were presented down the runway. From the lighthouses of Rhode Island to remembering a historical protest from 1912 which initiated today's labor laws, and even an interpretation of our very own "Jersey Devil."

The parade was kicked off by our very own Miss America 2018, Cara Mund, who was dressed as Wonder Woman, bringing to the Boardwalk her strength and wisdom. Former Miss America’s followed behind, from Forever Miss America, BeBe Shopp, to more recent Miss America’s, such as Kira Kazantsev.
