Miami Swim Week 2018 Recap

When in Miami, one must always attend Miami Swim Week. Having covered NYFW, LAFW, and other fashion week events, Miami is an entirely different lifestyle and culture.  This season, the runway was set on fire by designers such as Lulu Fama, Gigi C, Montce, and an ultra-exclusive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show which made its debut during Paraiso Fashion Fair, during Miami Swim Week 2018. What stood out the most in regards to the Sports Illustrated line up of models was its diversity -- there was local Miami talent, plus-size models, a mother who was nursing, and also a model with a prosthetic leg. Now if that isn't called diverse, then we don't know what to tell you!

Miami Swim Week, without a doubt, is the largest platform when it comes to the swimwear industry. Not only do some of the most recognized designers from across the world showcase their latest collection, but it is also an opportunity to mingle with elite press, snag photoshoots on the beach with models, and network during trade shows with brands & boutiques. During Miami Swim week, one can also attend Cabana (located at the tents at Collins Park) and Hammock (located at 1 Hotel South Beach). And both are equally fun! And it offers a nice break from the typical runway shows too. Until we share more, here are some of our favorite looks from the runway:
