Monsoon Mayhem

I’m kinda hating the Delhi weather right now not because of the rains, but for its unpredictable humid nature. I used to enjoy Monsoons but this year, its nothing but terrible. Why? Because every single day it rains for a bit and then it turns sunny, and then again it rains and eventually ends up being hot. There’s no breeze, trees are still and the moment you stand out, all you do is sweat.😐

Let me know if you guys feel the same!

I’m sure its not like this everywhere and monsoons are still as blissful as they were and that’s probably one reason why I’m doing this post. So today, I’m going to talk about some of my monsoon favourites that might be useful to you this rainy season.

Umbrellas: Get rid of those solid coloured boring umbrellas and say hello to printed, floral or quirky ones. Transparent umbrellas look chic too.

Shoes: Say goodbye to leather/suede shoes and opt for plastic, perspex or patent leather. Gum boots and crocs are other fun options.

Raincoats: There was a time when wearing raincoats wasn’t really a trend but not anymore. Transparent/neon coloured trench coats look uber stylish and have become a rain essential today.

Bags: Keep aside your lady bags and go for rain-proof ones instead. Colourful backpacks, slings or messenger bags in water-resistant materials are the best.

Accessories: Who says you can’t wear accessories in rains. Opt for bold coloured plastic or beaded jewellery and rubber watches to brighten up the look.

Keep it Short: Skip your denims and wear shorts or culottes instead. Avoid body hugging clothes and go for anti-fit or flowy styles. Light fabrics like cotton, linen, chiffon and georgette work best in this weather.

Hair & Makeup: Due to high humidity levels, its important that you don’t go overboard with makeup. Light water based foundations and light BB creams are best in this monsoon season. Make sure you use waterproof eyeliner and mascara for your eyes.

Managing your hair in this weather can be a difficult task too. So its always better to tie them up into a bun, braid or ponytail and accessorise with cute bands or pins. Also, you should wash your hair thrice a week to prevent hair fall and dampness.

I hope all your monsoon worries have come to an end after reading this post. In case you still have any queries, do share in the comments below!

Stay trendy this Monsoon😀

Much Love❤
