He also won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008 and a Bronze Medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Recently, I’ve been researching sugar addiction because no matter what I do, I can’t seem to control myself when it comes to eating sweet foods, especially chocolate. I always feel that I need to eat something sweet right after a meal. People who want to lose weight or control their diets to gain muscle or tone should be very careful of their sugar intake. Therefore, I’m attempting to cut back on sugary foods. In my previous post, The Essence of Water, I mentioned how I was successful in giving up soda but still have trouble controlling myself when it comes to eating sweet foods.
Hello, all! It’s a beautiful winter day here in NYC- a much needed break from the very cold weather we’ve been experiencing recently and I’m actually loving the temperature right now! In my previous post titled, “My Favorite Snacks“, I wrote about the importance of daily nutrition. On some mornings, I like to have a small breakfast of yogurt with berries mixed with granola before I head off to work. Below is the nutritional value in my bowl of yogurt and berries:
Yesterday, as I watched the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens football game, I couldn’t help but think of the Patriot’s QB, Tom Brady’s gorgeous wife, Gisele Bundchen. In fashion circles, she is known as “The Body” and seems to credit Mr. Brady himself for inspiring her to get back into shape after giving birth to their son, Benjamin. Of course, it has a lot to do with genetics, however, a person’s mindset and the relationships they have are very important as well.
I’ve always been fond of fashion, make-up and everything in between. And as my luck has it, I randomly came across the YouTube page of New Orleans Beauty Guru, Brie Lybrand. She has spunk, class, poise, and more than that, the knowledge of beauty & how to make you look fabulous all the time. I contacted Brie as soon as I could via Facebook right after New Years and everything from there is history! We even had Brie do an exclusive video for Bravura Magazine so continue reading to learn more and watch the exclusive video as well!
Two days ago, I was accepted into New York University’s Masters in Sports Business program (yay!). I’ve always been a sports fan and even played Varsity Lacrosse for three years in highschool. Growing up in the 90′s and following the Chicago Bulls, the Dallas Cowboys and WNBA games with my dad was just so magical and exciting. During playoff games, I would sit smack dab in front of our new big screen TV and literally scream my head off at every play while my dad would laugh at my frenzied passion. Ah, those were the days.
