Over the past few years, the Miss India International pageant has been a platform for girls to showcase their natural beauty, talent, and ability to articulate in public. Every year, girls from across the US compete and a new winner is crowned. Juhi Jagiasi has been the director of the Miss India International pageant and she stated, "The purpose of this pageant is to create a platform for young South Asian-Indian girls to pursue a career in fashion and modeling. We also want to show that along with brains there is also beauty!"

Prior to the Miss India International pageant, they will be hosting a Miss Photogenic contest. All those interested in entering are welcome to participate. The Top 10 finalists will be chosen by a select panel of judges. There will be online voting for each finalist. In addition, the winner will be featured on the Miss India International website and during the pageant which will be held on May 6, 2012.
