Garden State Inaugural Gala Honoring the President-Elect & Vice President-Elec

In 2013, we had the opportunity to cover the New Jersey State Society's 2013 Inaugural Gala, in honor of President Barack Obama's re-innauguration! And now they are in the midst of planning their next Gala, honoring President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect, Pence.


New Jersey will once again be host to one of the must-attend events during Presidential Inauguration week as the New Jersey State Society (NJSS) presents the Garden State Inaugural Gala in Washington, DC, Thursday, January 19, 2017.

This Garden State themed production will take guests back home with music, food and New Jersey natives and notables celebrating the inauguration President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect Mike Pence. Once again, guests will be entertained by the B-Street Band, the top Bruce Springsteen tribute band, as well as enjoy classic boardwalk games and amusements capturing the fun and romance of the New Jersey Shore.

“We appreciate this opportunity to show off the beauty and the vitality of New Jersey as we celebrate the inauguration of our new President and Vice President of the United States,” said Donise Cameron, president of NJSS and Senior Manager of Federal Affairs for PSEG. “This is a time for all of us to come together and share in a celebration of the democratic process.”

Every four years, the nonpartisan New Jersey State Society of Washington, DC sponsors a bipartisan inaugural gala in January regardless of which party wins the White House. Subject to the availability of tickets, New Jerseyeans and other fans of Garden State are invited to attend. This event is separate from the official and partisan inaugural ball the next night that does require a written personal invitation.
