October Editor Picks

With the Fall season full-steam ahead, it's time I share my favorite picks in fashion, home, and more for the month of October! Before I get into my main picks of October, the first thing on my list is the Makeup Studio Blockbuster which can be found at Sephora. The entire studio is valued at $440, but can be purchased in-stores. What really caught my eye about this item is that it's a portable studio with 193 products which can help you with all your beauty needs! There are both subdued and natural tones to hot and trendy hues which can be found in this entire kit. There are 96 eye shadow shades, 84 shiny lip glosses, 6 cream eyeliners, 2 eyeliner pencils, 3 blushes, 1 bronzer, 1 mascara and 4 applicators. Then there's a separate drawer holds blushes, bronzing powder, eyeliners, and brushes. It's a makeup diva's dream come true!

Now onto the top picks of October! The first pick is fairly simple, but it’s a great decor for the fall holidays for any home. It’s the Artificial Gerbera in Glass Vase which can be found at Pier 1. The vase retails for $20 online and in-store as well. It’s a great piece to place on a center table or on your kitchen island to give any room the “fall feel.” To go along with this vase, I would also suggest Pier 1’s Spiced Cake Candles. The colors of the vase and candles compliment one another; and the smell of the “spiced cake” is simply delicious. The candles retail from $1-17; this means you can can decorate with both large and small candles, as well as, tea lights.

For those who are hosting for Halloween, the best and most creative thing I’ve found are Spider Cupcake Holders which can be found at Crate & Barrel. The holders retail for $1.95 a piece, so if you’re hosting a party with 10 kids, it’s a quick $20 to make your event more fun and entertaining.

For Thanksgiving, I also found that Crate & Barrel also has the most unique and fun items. The ones I bought in a heartbeat for Thanksgiving that we’ll be hosting are the Turkey Potholder and Turkey Mitts. They retail for $5.95-7.95, which isn’t breaking anyone’s budget or bank. They are 100% and machine washable also, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to clean it if gravy or stuffing falls over the potholders!

And for those who are going to a Halloween or Thanksgiving event hosted by a friend or family member, the best Host gift I could suggest would be the Vino Wine Decanter, from Pottery Barn, which retails or $29. Everyone loves wine and it’s a staple for any holiday event, so why not gift someone a beautiful decanter to place the wine in!

Well there you have it readers! These are my October picks for the coming Fall holidays! I’d love to hear what you’re using to decorate or gift to others during these next two months so send me your picks to contact@BravuraMagazine.com!
