It’s a Velvet Thing
Here in UK, I’m seeing a lot more of fashion and the trends that are ruling this year. One fabric that was a favorite among the designers during London and Paris Fashion weeks and has become quiet popular off the runway as well is Velvet. There is no doubt that nothing says luxury and royalty like velvet. With its chic look, it can create a sense of elegance like no other fabric. Whether its a dress, shoes, a bag or even furniture, velvet has reinvented itself again and again over the years. Plain, patterned and printed silk velvets have made a come back in this year’s trends and can be seen all over in stores around the world.
What I personally like about velvet is that it has an expressive texture, its soft to the touch and gorgeous to view, with a slight shimmer to it and the ability to keep you much warmer against the elements.

I’m loving velvet on everything and in all forms, be it slip dresses, tops, shoes, bags, jackets, pants, scarves or even accessories. In fact, I’m already eyeing a pair of velvet booties that I spotted recently at a store.😀
If you too are going gaga over this luxe fabric, do let me know in the comments below! Also, if you already own a velvet piece, mail me your picture along with a reason why you picked it up and I shall post it on my Instagram and Facebook. Isn’t that exciting?
Can’t wait to hear from you guys!
Much Love❤
Ciao🙂
