Gretchen Carlson Resigns As Board Chair Of Miss America Organization
A year ago today, the Miss America Organization said "bye-bye bikini," and earlier today, another change happened in the Miss America Organization. Gretchen Carlson, who was Board Chairman, stepped down from her position, just months before the Miss America 2020 pageant, and right after news about the competition now airing on NBC.
It has been stated that Former South Dakota Secretary of State, Shantel Krebs, will take over for Carlson as board chair, with attorney Brenda Keith serving as vice-chair. Carlson will still remain as an advisor for the Miss America Organization. So what does this mean for Miss America 2020? No news has been stated in regards to where the pageant will be held. Rumor are Atlantic City, but the CRDA didn’t renew their contract with the Organization. As women across the country are starting to get crowned for their state title, there is still some uncertainty as to where and possibly even when, the competition will be held.
We will keep you updated as we find out more in regards to this subject.
