**LAKME FASHION WEEK UPDATE: Sabyasachi Mukherjee set to close Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 as Grand Finale Designer**
India’s leading beauty expert, Lakmé, today announced that fashion legend (and LFW discovery), Sabyasachi Mukherjee, will present his collection as the Grand Finale designer at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.
A renowned name both in India and abroad, Sabyasachi’s collections have won accolades and critical acclaim from commentators as diverse as Oprah Winfrey and fashion doyenne Suzy Menkes. His Finale presentation is set to be one of the season’s most awaited shows, after a hiatus of five years.
Popular for his design philosophy known as the ‘personalized imperfection of the human hand’, Sabyasachi celebrates fashion with a fusion of style and sensibility that resonates international styling with an Indian soul.
“Presenting my collection at LFW is always a special occasion. This is where I made my debut as a designer, which provided me with a platform to be recognised by the world of fashion. Returning as a Grand Finale designer after five years is very exciting. The show promises to be truly grand,” said Sabyasachi.
“We are delighted to have Sabyasachi return to LFW to showcase the Finale for the WF 2013 showcase. His creative genius combined with inspiration from Lakmé’s latest beauty trend statement is sure to bring the season’s festive theme alive” said Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation at Lakmé.
